Fat Transfer
in Jacksonville, FL
Wouldn’t it be great if you could take fat from one area of the body where you did not want it and put it in another area where you wanted to have more pronounced curves? Now you can, with fat transfer procedures at Coastal Cosmetic Center with Dr. Timothy E. Fee, MD, and Dr. Jordan A. Bilezikian, MD. Fat transfer is a minimally invasive technique that utilizes your body’s own tissue to enhance your appearance by eliminating lines and wrinkles and plumping up areas that need fullness.

What is Fat Transfer?
Fat transfer is a minimally invasive procedure performed through tiny incisions that utilizes liposuction to remove fat from one area of the body and purify it through a sterile process, then inject it into another area of the body to correct and improve wrinkles, asymmetries, and imperfections. Fat grafting reduces the risk of adverse reactions to foreign bodies because you are using only your own individual tissue. Fat can be safely and effectively transferred to your face, buttocks, as well as your breasts to add volume.
What Are the Benefits of Fat Transfer?
- Uses your body’s own tissue
- Very low risk of adverse effects
- No foreign synthetic material is placed in your body
- Fills in hollow and sunken areas on the face
- Eliminates line and wrinkles
- Adds volume to the buttocks and breasts without implants
What is the Procedure for Fat Transfer?
Our Plastic Surgeons at Coastal Cosmetic Center have extensive experience in performing fat transfers to the face, breast, and body. Once fat is collected from the harvest site, it undergoes a sterile procedure and is then injected into the treatment area. Fat is transferred until the desired body contour and volume is achieved.
What is the Recovery for Fat Transfer?
Depending on the recipient site and the volume of fat transferred, the recovery can be variable in nature. For example, a large volume fat transfer to the Buttocks (BBL) or to the Breasts will take longer to recover from than a smaller volume fat transfer to the face. Either way, the majority of swelling and discomfort should dissipate within a few days.
How Much Does Fat Transfer Cost?
Fat grafting costs vary depending on the patient, the location of fat transfer, and the volume of fat being transferred. Dr. Fee and Dr. Bilezikian will consult with you and create a customized treatment plan that meets your aesthetic goals. All applicable costs will be discussed during your consultation.
