What is a Breast Lift?
A Breast Lift—also known as a “Mastopexy”— will restore Breast size and nipple/areola position to a more youthful, elevated location on the chest. This helps to counteract the effects of pregnancy, nursing, weight changes, and aging. A Breast Lift will help to repair skin that has lost its elasticity due to being overstretched or that has suffered the effects of gravity over time. A Mastopexy gives breasts a more youthful shape and nipple/areola position and can be combined with Breast Augmentation when more volume is needed, especially if there is a volume deficiency in the upper pole of the breasts. Sometimes, a patient has some sagging, but not enough for a Full Breast Lift and they are good candidates for a Mini Breast Lift surgery.
What is a Mini Breast Lift?
A Mini Breast Lift is the least invasive type of Breast Lift that will restore breast shape and nipple/areola position to a more youthful, elevated location on the chest. A Mini Breast Lift is performed through smaller incisions, with a shorter surgery time, and a faster recovery time. A Mini Breast Lift gives breasts a more youthful appearance and can also be combined with a Breast Augmentation to increase the volume of the breasts. A Mini Breast Lift ideal for patients who have mild to moderate sagging of the breast and nipple/areola position. We offer Mini Breast Lifts to select patients who want a more slim and fit figure but are not in need of a Full Breast Lift.

How is a Breast Lift Performed?
Breast Lift procedures begin with an incision that is usually hidden around the nipple/areola along with a vertical incision at the lower part of the breast and a horizontal incision in the line of the lower breast crease. The surgical incisions are based each person’s unique anatomy and is tailored to the specific sagging that needs to be corrected and how much of a correction needs to be made. If a Breast Augmentation is also being performed at the same time, the silicone or saline implant is inserted underneath the breast tissue or chest muscle and is adjusted for the best appearance prior to closing the incision. The entire procedure takes approximately two hours to complete for both breasts.
