Dermaplaning is a great option if you’re looking to achieve younger, smoother skin without surgery and without downtime. Coastal Cosmetic Center offers dermaplaning to men and women who reside in Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, the surrounding communities, and around the world.
Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment where the top damaged and dead layers of skin are scraped off using a surgical scalpel to allow for healthy, new skin to form. Dermaplaning also removes the fine ‘vellus’ hair, commonly called peach fuzz, off of the face.
Dermaplaning creates healthier skin by triggering new cell regeneration. This in turn creates a smoother, brighter complexion. The tone and texture of skin is significantly improved after just one treatment. There is no downtime associated with dermaplaning.
Your skin will be cleansed thoroughly prior to treatment. No anesthesia is required. The skin is pulled tight and the scalpel is glided gently across the skin in an upward motion and at an angle. Treatments usually last between 20 to 30 minutes and you can return to you regular schedule immediately. Your skin may feel tight or appear red following treatment.
If you have dry, rough, or aging skin, you may be an ideal candidate. However, dermaplaning is not recommended for patients who have active acne or open sores on the face.
Dermaplaning costs will vary based on the extent of treatment needed. All costs will be discussed during your consultation. For your convenience, we accept payment via cash, check, and major credit cards. We also offer financing options to assist you in paying for your procedure. Coastal Cosmetic Center has a conveniently located office in Jacksonville, with an on-site licensed surgery facility, Coastal Surgery Center, at the Jacksonville location.
